He began his carpentry career at 18, training under an experienced builder and developing a broad understanding of domestic construction across multiple trades.

Completing his apprenticeship an impressive 18 months ahead of schedule, Chris quickly established a reputation for attention to detail and quality workmanship. In 2013, he took the step into entrepreneurship and later obtained his builder’s licence, enabling him to take on more complex and larger-scale residential projects.

After years working within the industry, Chris recognised that many homeowners were seeking a more personal, transparent, and collaborative building experience — one where communication was clear, ideas were valued, and the process felt as rewarding as the finished result. Proud Projects was created to deliver exactly that.

Chris has also invested heavily in building long-standing relationships with the Mornington Peninsula’s most trusted trades and suppliers, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with current building standards, regulations, and innovations.

Known for his honest and approachable nature, Chris takes great pride in the reputation Proud Projects has earned. He is deeply committed to maintaining high standards across the business and values the strength of the team that supports its continued growth.

Outside of work, Chris enjoys camping, kayaking, and spending time outdoors with his wife Emily and their Proud pooch, Wally.

Since joining Proud Projects, Maor has progressed through several key roles within the business, beginning as a Lead Carpenter, then moving into Site Manager, and now Estimator. This progression reflects his broad skill set and deep understanding of how projects are delivered from site through to completion.

Maor began his carpentry career in 2010 as an apprentice alongside Chris and has since developed extensive experience across residential construction. In his current role, he works closely with Chris to ensure estimates align with project expectations, quality standards, and overall delivery goals.

Known for his attention to detail and problem-solving ability, Maor plays an important role in setting projects up for success from the outset. Proud Projects values the practical insight he brings to the estimating process and the consistency he applies to every project.

Outside of work, Maor enjoys camping, road biking, scuba diving, and spending time adventuring with his two young daughters. A true hands-on builder at heart, he even completed a full caravan remodel from scratch.

Calm, friendly, and professional in his manner, he plays a key role in coordinating build projects, ensuring teams are well managed, schedules are maintained, and work is delivered to a high standard.
Dennis oversees Proud Projects’ teams of carpenters on site and works closely with clients to maintain clear communication and positive working relationships throughout the build.

Site performance and safety are central to Dennis’s role. He proactively identifies and resolves issues as they arise, minimising disruption and keeping projects on track. As a key liaison between carpenters, subcontractors, and other trades, he ensures coordination across all stages of construction.

With a strong background across complex builds and high-end residential projects, Dennis brings valuable experience and expertise to the Proud Projects team.

Outside of work, Dennis enjoys spending time outdoors with his family. Camping and fishing are favourite ways for him to unwind, and he values the time spent with his three boys away from the workday routine.

With a meticulous eye for detail and a highly organised approach, she supports the team across financial management, administration, and operational systems.

Karen is responsible for bookkeeping and day-to-day administration, as well as championing the development and implementation of internal systems and processes. Her work ensures projects and operations are supported by clear, efficient workflows that enable the team to focus on delivering high-quality outcomes for clients.

In addition to her administrative responsibilities, Karen oversees Proud Projects’ occupational health and safety requirements, implementing and maintaining OH&S systems to ensure compliance with current regulations and best practice.

Known for her positive outlook and reliable nature, Karen is a valued member of the Proud Projects team and takes pride in contributing to the company’s professionalism and ongoing growth.

Outside of work, Karen enjoys spending time in her garden, baking for family and friends, and never missing an opportunity to stop and pat a friendly animal.
